North Star is adding psychiatric nurse practitioners and licensed therapists. As each provider joins, their ages seen, conditions treated, and whether they offer medication management, therapy, or both will appear in this directory.

How Matching Works

Psychiatric nurse practitioners provide evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management. Therapists provide talk therapy. Many patients see one or the other, and some work with both. If you are not sure what you need, start with a psychiatric evaluation or call our office. See also our full provider profiles.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right provider?

Start with who needs care and what kind of care you want. Use the filters above to narrow by age group, condition, and whether you want medication management, psychiatric evaluation, or therapy. If you are unsure, contact our office and we will help match you to the right provider.

Can I see a provider for talk therapy?

North Star is adding licensed therapists to the practice. Providers who offer therapy will appear in this directory with a Talk Therapy label as they join. Contact our office to ask about current availability.

Do your providers see children and older adults?

Yes. Our current provider sees patients across the lifespan, from pediatric and adolescent patients to adults and older adults. Each provider's listing shows the age groups they see.

Can I choose a telepsychiatry visit instead of coming to the office?

Yes. Providers who offer telepsychiatry are marked on their listing, and you can filter for them. Telepsychiatry visits are available to patients located in South Carolina, in addition to in-person visits at our Lexington office.

Can I switch to a different provider later?

Yes. If a provider is not the right fit, let our office know and we will help you transition to another provider on our team.
